Gljúfrabúi, also known as the 'Canyon Dweller' is a hidden gem of South Iceland. It's located near the well-known Seljalandsfoss waterfall and often overlooked by travelers to the area. Visitors to Gljúfrabúi will have to trek through a stream that runs through a deep cleft in a cliff face for a few metres before reaching the spectacular falls. On sunny days, rainbows dance in its misty spray and the natural landscape of mossy walls, silver mist and black lava is truly breathtaking. It's a great spot for photographers and those looking to get away from the crowds and enjoy a peaceful moment in nature.
