From the Colosseum, walk along via dei fori imperiali, stop to take the ritual photos in front of the Altare della Patria and then get on tram 8 which will take you to one of the most beautiful and characteristic neighborhoods of Rome: Trastevere.

Stroll through the characteristic alleys of this neighborhood, enjoying the clothes hanging, photographing the most beautiful corners. Be prepared though, as there will definitely be quite a few tourists. On the other hand, in such a beautiful and central neighborhood it cannot be otherwise.

Don't miss the Basilica of Santa Maria, one of the medieval jewels of Rome, located in the homonymous square

A few steps from Trastevere, continue towards Isola Tiberina, a pedestrian islet in the center of the Tiber. It's a nice place to stroll or to sit and catch your breath and watch the rushing river flow by.
