Emerald Bay State Park is a breathtaking, must-see site in Lake Tahoe, California. The park covers an area of 1,533 acres and consists of a National Natural Landmark known as Emerald Bay and several spectacular features such as Eagles Falls, Fannette Island (the sole island in Lake Tahoe) and the stunning 38-room mansion, Vikingsholm, which showcases remarkable Scandinavian architecture. Park visitors are treated with breathtaking views in any season; in warm months, visitors can soak up the sun during the day and star gaze at night, while in the winter, they can experience icy temperatures and possibly see the bay freeze over. From aerial views to the beautiful maritime forest that comforts Fannette Island, Emerald Bay State Park is truly special and not be missed!

Local Tip: Go early and on a weekday since there is limited parking and it can get crowded.
