Lake Oeschinen is a serene mountain lake situated in the captivating Kandersteg region of Switzerland. It is fed by glacial brooks from the imposing three-thousand-meter peaks of Blüemlisalp, Oeschinenhorn, Fründenhorn, and Doldenhorn, making it an unmissable destination for nature lovers and hikers alike. A gondola train takes visitors up the mountainside to within a half hour walk of the lake. During the summer months, the water can warm up to an inviting 20 degrees Celsius – perfect for swimming and rowing on the lake. There is also a thrilling summer toboggan run to enjoy! In the winter, visitors can try their luck at ice fishing or take a ride down the slopes with a traditional Swiss toboggan—a truly unforgettable experience!
