Park HERE along the Scenic Byway - you will see pullouts along the road right where the trail starts.
The trail down to the Hobbit Hole is steep but very short lived. After working your way down into Clear Creek, its all easy going from there. You'll immediately enter the tunnel under the highway and within 0.25 mile, you start the slot canyon. The tunnel underneath the road is noticeably cooler and a great place to let kids play if visiting during warmer temperatures. You come to an arch at around 0.75 miles that the trail takes you under and this is where we usually turn around, as the canyon start to open after this.
Located within the National Park, a park pass or entrance fee is required.
