Dyrhólaey is a stunning destination located on the southern coast of Iceland. With its impressive arch of lava stretching out into the Atlantic, 120 metre high hill, and picturesque Eagle Rock nearby, it has something for everyone! Visitors can explore the park and all its natural wonders by car, or on foot during nesting season when the lower area is open. Summer time offers an even more spectacular sight, as the birdlife comes to life in their nests around the rocky cliffs. There are also plenty of opportunities to take amazing photographs, such as the huge lighthouse perched atop the hill, the black sand beach and of course, the stunning Reynisdrangar sea stacks in the background. Dyrhólaey truly is a unique sight that should not be missed!
