Kerið is a stunning volcanic crater lake located in South Iceland, famous for its aquamarine waters and red-coloured rocks. It is an essential part of the popular Golden Circle sightseeing route and a can't-miss destination for those looking to explore Iceland's unique landscapes. Travelers can visit Kerið on one of many Golden Circle tours available from local operators, or take a detour while driving along the route. Entrance is 400 ISK (about two Euros, or three US dollars). In the area, visitors will also find Sólheimar, Fontana Spa, the Secret Lagoon, and Friðheimar tomato and horse farm as well as other places of interest. With its breathtaking colors and unique geological features, Kerið is a fantastic place to explore Iceland’s natural beauty.
