The Kaimai Mamaku Lookout is located in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand and is an exciting destination for any nature enthusiast. The Lookout features a unique living museum of botany, with over 300 kilometres of trails to explore. Take a journey through the magnificent subtropical forests, historic tracks used by Maori settlers, and beech forests! With access roads from the nearby towns of Te Aroha, Tauranga, Paeroa, and Matamata, one can easily get to their desired destination. The popular Waitewheta Track follows a kauri log tramline past waterfalls, deep gorges, and rocky bluffs. There are also huts, shelters, and picnic areas along the way, making it perfect for a day trip getaway.
