It still surprises me that I can go to some of the smallest communities in Iceland and find at least one restaurant with a diverse menu. Thankfully, the Westman Islands has more than one and Tanginn is definitely worth checking out if you‘re looking for a delicious meal.

They specialize in traditional Icelandic cuisine and use locally sourced ingredients to create their dishes. You can choose to either do their buffet or pick something off their menu, such as fresh seafood, lamb, or vegetables.

When you walk in, you’ll notice how cozy the décor is, which reflects the island's charm and character. The decor is rustic with wooden beams and exposed brick walls that create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The biggest bonus is that it’s located in a beautiful setting, with stunning views of the ocean and the surrounding landscape. Visitors can enjoy their meal while taking in the natural beauty of the island.
