The Herring Era Museum of Iceland is the only museum in the world dedicated to herring. Located in Siglufjörður, the museum consists of five exhibition buildings filled with exciting interactive displays and exhibitions showcasing the history of herring fishing. Visitors can take a journey through time with detailed displays about the history of herring fishing and get up close and personal with the artifacts and images of the era. With opening hours varying by season, visitors can enjoy this unique experience year-round.
