Bolafjall, the mountain peak found near Bolungarvik, is a true gem of the Westfjords region. From its summit, visitors will be rewarded with breathtaking and stunning views of the surrounding area including Ísafjarðardjúp, Jökulfirðir, and even Greenland on a clear day. During the summer months, from mid-June to September, visitors can take the road spiralling up to the top for the full experience. Even better, once at the summit, it's then just a short drive down to Skálavík's black sand beach for a coffee break and an enjoyable stroll. Those wanting to get a piece of nature and adventure should seriously consider making the climb up Bolafjall.
