Kleifarvatn is a stunning lake located in the southwest of Iceland, on the Reykjanes Peninsula. It's the largest lake in the area and one of the deepest in the country, reaching a depth of 97 meters. The landscape around Kleifarvatn is truly unique, with lava fields, geothermal areas, and hot springs adding to its charm. The lake sits on the fissure zone of the Mid-Atlantic ridge, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet, making it a geologically active area.
