Peyto Lake, located in Banff National Park, is a stunning turquoise blue glacier-fed lake that will take your breath away. It was the least crowded of 3 lakes close to Banff when we visited so there is no need to get shuttle tickets or come early to get a spot on the parking lot. There are two viewpoints - one is the upper view point, which is accessible by the clearly marked little trail from the parking lot. It has a wooden construction and most of the people go there. If you would like to get an unobstructed view and no people, head to the lower viewpoint. It is right under the upper view point and it is not clearly stated on google maps. But if you head towards the upper viewpoint you will see a little fence with the door, continue following the path behind the fence and you will get to the lower viewpoint.
