Hike

Message from Johan Haugsrud

Visiting Preikestolen, located in Norway, is a memorable experience for people who love the outdoors and nature. Hiking to this 604-metre tall rock formation affords breathtaking views of Lysefjord, and is one of Norway's most famous mountain hikes, attracting over 300,000 hikers every year. The moderate eight-kilometre trek takes around four hours round-trip and can be done as either a solo hike or part of a guided tour from April to October (subject to weather conditions). For those who wish to stay overnight, stay at Preikestolen Fjellstue or Lilland Hotell, or Stavanger from where a boat trip on the Lysefjord can be taken. It is recommended to read up on mountain safety and prepare appropriately before taking on the journey. With its crystal-clear fjords, diverse terrain, and dazzling landscapes, this unforgettable adventure will certainly leave an impression you are sure to remember!
