Basalt stones show how amazing nature is. One cannot imagine that nature is able to form these hexagonal stone columns without human help. But the beauty of nature impresses one again and again.

Stuðlagil Canyon is a stunning natural wonder located in the East of Iceland. It is a deep, narrow canyon with steep walls and a river running through it. The canyon is surrounded by lush green vegetation and is a popular spot for hikers and photographers. The canyon is easily accessible by car and is a great spot to explore the Icelandic countryside.

It is located in the Efri-Jökuldalur and known as Icelands biggest collection of basalt stones. It impresses with a length of 500 meters and a hight of 20-30 meters.
