Rialto Beach is a beach with a fog and mist, moody vibe. Large sea stacks rise out of the ocean and a graveyard of spruce logs create a wall between the parking lot and the beach. The sand is mixed with small colorful pebbles all along the shore. Start the morning with a hike to Hole-in-the-Wall at low tide as this is the official trailhead. At night, with a wilderness camping permit, you can camp right here on the beach. You may even see hikers detouring from the Pacific Crest Trail (PCH) to set up camp for the night. Otherwise, Mora Campground is right around the corner as well, which is beautiful in its own right. On clear nights, this foreground makes for gorgeous sunsets!
