Hike
2-3h
This small ski area near the Walensee lake is rather low elevation, so it doesn't always have snow. But when it does, their winter trails are very charming.
In Amden-Arvenbüel, you can hike up to the Vorder Höhi pass, where you see over the other side to the Toggenburg region. This hike is 7km round trip, gaining 380m of elevation, taking quite some effort as it is uphill all the way to the pass.
We suggest stopping at Restaurant Vorder Höhi for refreshments on the way back. This winter hike is not always open so check the trail status before going. Sometimes it's only open as a snowshoe trail.
