This winter trail starts at Kleine Scheidegg and hikes down to Wengen. The prepared snowy trail is used by both winter hikers and sledders, so be respectful of each other.

The full trail is 6.9 km long, descending 788m. See trail map.

Since the path parallels the mountain train, you can do a shorter version by stopping or starting at one of the middle stations.

1. Kleine Scheidegg to the Wengernalp station is 2km, 40 mins. This section has wide open views and is the easiest part

2. Wengernalp to Allmend is about 3km, descent 240m, 60 mins. This section is a bit steeper and has a lot of forest.

3. Allmend to Wengen is about 2m, descent 200m, 40 mins. This section is the lowest elevation and sometimes does not have enough snow for sledding.
