This popular ski resort near Zurich has a 3km long sled run from Prodalp to Tannenheim. It’s quite steep, descending 350 m of elevation over a relatively short distance. It's often icy in parts since it's often in the forest and shade. It's an exciting ride, better for adults and older children.
My husband, my kids and many friends have done this run. They report that it’s fun when the conditions are great, but scary when it’s icy. With small children, you can instead use the small sledding hill next the Prodalp gondola station.
Flumserberg offers night sledding on Thursday and Saturday nights from end of December to beginning of March. You can book fondue on these nights.
To reach the sled run, drive or take a bus to the gondola station at Tannenheim. You'll need a gondola ticket to reach the sled run. You can buy a single ticket, multi-pass or day pass.
You can bring your own sleds or rent them on-site for CHF 16 (CHF 50 deposit).
