This cable car takes five mins to ascent 947m from the Wengen village to the Männlichen viewpoint at 2,343m. At the top, you'll find restaurants, winter hikes, and sledding trails.
Location: cable car station at Wengiboden 1350f, next to Wengen tourism office, 1 min walk from Wengen train station
Open: winter season is early December to early April. Check current schedule and status.
Timetable: every 20 mins, fits 75 people
For pedestrians (non-skiers), you can purchase tickets on the SBB Mobile App (easiest), Männlichen website, and ticket office at the cable car station.
If you are sledding, you'll need a Jungfrau Region sledding ticket.
Tickets can be bought immediately before your journey and do not sell out. You cannot reserve a time slot - first come, first served.
Pedestrian tickets are discounted with the Swiss Travel Pass, Swiss Half Fare Card, and Guestcard Jungfrau Region (free from your hotel). No discount on ski and sledding tickets.
Children under 6 free, age 6-15 heavy iscount, or free with Swiss Family Card or SBB Junior Card. Dogs free.

🚌 By public transport:
Ride a train to Lauterbrunnen. Then transfer to the yellow Wengeralpbahn train at the same station. Ride to Wengen (12 mins). Short walk to cable car station in Wengen.
⏱️From Interlaken 43 mins, Mürren 49 mins, Grindelwald 1h
🚗 By car:
Drive to Lauterbrunnen. Just before you enter the village, there are signs directing you to a large parking garage behind the train station (see on map).
Short walk to Lauterbrunnen train station. Ride yellow Wengernalpbahn train up to Wengen. Then short walk to cable car station.
