Doai Station, located in Minakami, Gunma, Japan, is known as "Japan's Number One Mole Station" because passengers have to take a 10-minute descent down a tunnel to reach the northbound platform. It holds the title of being the deepest train station in Japan, with an underground platform situated 70 meters below ground level. The station, which opened in 1936, is unstaffed and features two single side platforms - one above ground and one underground within the Shin-Shimizu Tunnel. Visitors can enjoy the unique experience of navigating the 486 steps to reach the underground platform, making it a popular spot for thrill-seekers and ghost hunters alike.
