Namba Yasaka-jinja is a hidden gem nestled in the alleyways of Nanba, Osaka. It is a popular Shinto shrine with an iconic giant lion head, Ema-Den, towering at 12 meters high. It shelters a prayer altar in its opened mouth and was rebuilt after WW2 in 1975. Visitors can come for a tranquil walk perfect for sightseeing and during cherry blossom season in Spring enjoy the beautiful blooms. Nearby attractions are the Namba Parks, Sennichimae Doguyasuji, Den-Den Town & Otaroad, Dotonbori, Hozenji Yokocho, Kuromon Market, America Mura and Tsutenkaku Tower. Come and experience this unique place full of religious history!
