The Philosopher's Path in Kyoto is an iconic stone trail that meanders through the peaceful Higashiyama district. Along the two kilometer path, visitors can view hundreds of cherry trees which make a stunning spectacle when in bloom. This destination also features smaller temples and shrines, such as Honen-in, and it has become one of the most popular hanami (cherry blossom viewing) spots in the city. On sunny days, visitors can wander along the tranquil opposite side of the canal or stop to visit local restaurants, cafes, and boutiques to fully embrace the culture of Kyoto. With so much to do and see, a visit to the Philosopher's Path is sure to provide lasting memories!
