Hot Spring
Hot Spring
All ages
Another tranquil oasis nestled in the Northern Territory of Australia, which is renowned for its crystal-clear thermal pools and lush surroundings. Like Bitter Springs (which is around the corner) this pool is fed by natural underground springs, the water remains a soothing 34 degrees Celsius year-round, perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. It is also only accessible from April to November in the dry season.
To get to the pool it is simply a short 500 meter walk from the carpark. The pool is surrounded by tropical vegetation and wildlife, where you can immerse yourself in the serene beauty. As you reach the entrance to the springs, you'll see stairs that offer easy access to the water. Although not the largest pool, it's the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the natural surroundings. During my visit, I sat on the concrete steps in the water, listening to the hundreds of bats in the trees above me. Oh, and keep an eye out for peacocks I saw a few roaming around the carpark!
