Cadini di Misurina Viewpoint – one of the most stunning views in the Dolomites

The Cadini di Misurina viewpoint in Cadore offers one of the most spectacular views in the Dolomites. This stunning location is a must-visit. Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your visit.

Parking: There is a parking area at the Auronzo Mountain Hut where the trail starts, but it can get crowded, especially during peak season. Arriving early in the morning will help you secure a spot.

Keep in mind, the road to the Auronzo Mountain Hut is toll-based, and it’s quite expensive. In recent years, the fees have increased annually, making it a bit of a costly journey. However, if you’d prefer to avoid the toll, it’s also possible to park further down and take a shuttle bus to the viewpoint.

  • Car: 30€ (2024)

  • Camper Van 45€ (2024)

  • keep in mind the parking ticket is valid for 12 hours from the moment it is issued. If the 12 hours are exceeded, the price of an additional ticket will be added.

  • More information about the parking

  • shuttle bus is around 10€ per person, but you have to book your place in advanced here

The Hike: The hike to the viewpoint takes approximately 45 minutes and is relatively short. The spot is perfect for photos and simply soaking in the beauty of the Dolomites.

Save money: If you'd like to save the money for the toll road and don't mind a longer hike, you can also park at Lake Antorno and walk from there (but you also have pay a little or the parking there). Of course, this is quite a bit longer. You can either walk the same way back and forth or opt for a loop trail.

Best Time to Visit: For the most magical experience, try to visit either at sunrise or sunset. The light during these times enhances the scenery, creating a serene atmosphere and ideal conditions for capturing stunning photos.

Additional Tips:

  • If you visit during the summer, be sure to arrive early to avoid large crowds. During sunset are also less people

  • You can also easily combine this spot with a hike to the famous Tre Cime, which I would recommend if you've parked at the top and paid for the expensive toll road.

Enjoy your time at this incredible viewpoint! It’s undoubtedly one of the most remarkable spots in the Dolomites.
