Primitive campground in Capitol Reef

Campsite

Message from Kate Outdoors

Cedar Mesa Campground is a very small campground located along Notom-Bullfrog Rd. in the Waterpocket Fold district of Capitol Reef National Park. This is a basic campground. Each site comes with a picnic table and fire ring and there are pit toilets available. The campsites are very tight and close together, so I would not recommend bringing a trailer back here. My husband and I camped here at the last-minute and we would not have been able to turn around if the rest of the campground wasn't empty.

The last time I was out there the road had been beat up and a high-clearance vehicle was required. Be aware, the road may be impassable when wet.
