Aran Hufen Ia ain't messing about when it comes to ice-cream!

If you haven't experienced their ice-cream yet - then run, don't walk to @icecreamwales in Bala or Dolgellau and try one for yourself.

I find that a great way to motivate myself and the kids to get outdoors is to plan in little treats. And this treat is a winner for all the family...
We went for a walk along the river to the lake then headed back to "Aran Hufen Ia" to warm up with hot waffles and a delicious @heartland.coffee for me (the best coffee roasted right here in North Wales), whilst the kids chose their favourite ice cream, cone and toppings. And there's even a little play corner with books and toys so I can really enjoy my coffee!!

And I'm a waffle girly - if there's waffles on the menu I'm in. So I've tried my fair share of waffles and I can honestly say this is one of the fluffiest on the inside and crispiest on the outside waffle I have ever tasted. And they have even more seasonal cakes and bakes on offer throughout the colder months.

There's loads to do in the area including visiting the fantastic Caerau Gardens with one of the best play areas we've been to, walking from Bala to Llangower station and catching the train back, or even just having a play at the lake.
