Harlech Castle, located in Harlech, Gwynedd, Wales, is a medieval fortress built by Edward I between 1282 and 1289. It played a significant role in various wars, including withstanding sieges and being captured by rebels. The castle's design is considered one of the finest examples of military architecture in Europe. Over the years, it saw different occupants and eventually fell into ruins. Today, managed by Cadw, it stands as a tourist attraction, offering visitors a glimpse into its rich history and impressive structure.
