The Grey Mare's Tail waterfall is a huge waterfall tucked away at the bottom of the Gwydir Forest Park in Llanrwst. There are loads of great walks in the woodlands here, but this is one of my favourites. Only a short walk from the car park this spot is perfect for families as you can easily access the bottom of the falls (perfect for splashing and playing in). You will follow steps down the footpath to the waterfall, you can continue through the woodland to extend the walk slightly, but the best way to get back to the carpark is just to spin round and head back up the way you came.
