Gardena Pass, also known as Passo Gardena is a stunning mountain pass located in the Dolomites of South Tyrol, Italy.
Sitting at an elevation of 2,136m, it connects the picturesque towns of Sëlva and Corvara.
🚗🌸It forms part of the famous Sella Ring, a route that encompasses four linked passes and offers breathtaking views of the Sella group. Hikers also flock to Gardena Pass to access the dramatic Dolomite mountains. With its scenic beauty and thrilling activities, Gardena Pass is a must-visit spot on your Dolomites trip!
It wasn’t until tourism began to take hold in this part of Italy for skiing and hiking , in the 1960’s that a proper road was built. Today there are also quite a few ski lifts along the beautiful road on the way up to the pass and at the top of the pass.
📌Top travel tip : This beautiful road is quite popular with drivers, bikers and cyclists. So while I think it’s worth the trip,it can get super busy. So pack your patience and your camera and it won’t disappoint.
