Val di Funes is a heavenly alpine valley that offers breathtaking views . It’s one of the most picturesque, quietest spots in the Italian UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites.

The mix of Austria and Italy is evident everywhere you look – from the picturesque spired churches, to the alpine huts and food! It’s a photographer's dream come true. You can embark on stunning hikes in Puez-Odle/Geisler Nature Park and indulge in delicious meals at alpine huts after. (This was my favourite part🤤!)

How to get there:

From Bolzano: Take the (A22) and the exit of Chiusa-Val Gardena. Follow the main road east into Val di Funes. A smaller road will take you to the famous, beautiful views of Santa Maddalena and Chiesetta di San Giovanni.

Things to know:

🌱The grass around Chiesetta di San Giovanni is protected land. Please dont walk on it.
