Lake Misurina also known as Lago di Misurina is a stunning natural lake nestled in the Cadore area of the Dolomites. The lake is situated at an elevation of approx 1,754 m (5,754 feet) above sea level. The lake has a unique elongated shape. It is one of the largest natural lakes in the Cadore region.

It is famous for its special microclimate, which makes it a popular destination for those with respiratory issues. Not only that, but it also has a rich history, being the location of the last Olympic speed skating events on natural ice.

📝Things to do :

🥾Stroll around Lake Misurina – A beautiful 2.5 km trail around the lake. It will take you about 30-40 mins and the views are phenomenal!

🛖Hike to Rifugio Col de Varda hut – This trail starts at Lake Misurina, close to the Miralago Hotel. The hut is located at 2200m and can be reached by chair lift (approx. 8 eur or 16 eur return) or by foot.
