Alpe di Siusi, also known as Seiser Alm, is a stunning alpine meadow located in the Dolomites of Italy. It's actually the highest alpine meadow in all of Europe! This place is like something out of a fairytale, with its lush green meadows, charming cabins, and majestic peaks towering overhead.

One of the places you have to visit in Italy is Alpe di Siusi, in the Dolomites! This beautiful meadow is a UNESCO world heritage site and sits on a mountaintop next to Ortisei. Alpe di Siusi, also known as Seiser Alm, is the largest high altitude alpine meadow in Europe and one of the most beautiful places in the world! Cabins, rifugios and hotels dot the landscape! Alpe di Siusi is one of the best places to watch the sunrise and sunset in Italy! I seriously recommend anyone to add Alpe di Siusi to their Italy trip!

📌Things to know:⬇️

When it comes to visiting Alpe di Siusi things can become a little tricky if you don’t know any of the rules. Alpe Di Siusi has become such a popular destination that visiting restrictions have now been put in place!

🚗 – To reach Alpe Di Siusi by car you have to drive up a winding mountain road. But the mountain road leading up to Alpe di Siusi is guarded and you can’t drive up between 9AM - 5PM. So if you want to visit Alpe di Siusi by car you either have to drive up before 9AM or after 5PM.

🅿️Parking – There are several car parks in the town of Compatsch where you can leave your car for the day. Parking is €18 (you can only pay for a full day) and it’s cash only! (There is an ATM only 100 meters away)

🚡- Mont Seuc Cable Car located in Ortisei or Alpe di Siusi aerial cableway from the village is Seis!

🏨- The only exception is if your hotel is located in Alpe di Siusi. In that case you will get a special permit from your hotel that allows you to drive up at any time of day but only on the day of your check-in!

In the summer, it's a popular destination for hiking and biking, with trails that wind through the hillsides and connect the small villages. Whether you're exploring the meadow on foot or taking in the breathtaking views from a cable car, Alpe di Siusi is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Enjoy!
