Beach
Beach
I used to visit this beach each summer for the Kumano Fireworks Festival on August 17.
Shichiri Mihama Beach in Mie, Japan, is known for being the longest beach in the country, stretching a whopping 22 kilometers along the Kumano-nada Sea. Visitors can enjoy strolls along the gravel-covered shore and may even spot loggerhead turtles laying their eggs between May and September. While swimming isn't recommended due to strong currents, the beach offers plenty of space for photography, wildlife viewing, and a unique collection of stones that find their way into various uses, including as pieces for the ancient board game of go.
