The activity center has just about everything you need for an adventure—gear rentals, guided river treks, BBQ areas with a scenic terrace, and even a tent sauna. They’ll also point you to the best swimming spots in the area, where the water is an unreal emerald green—some of the clearest I’ve ever seen.

If you’d like to explore but aren’t fully confident on your own, I recommend stopping by the center for guidance. The locals and experienced guides here are always happy to help.

For overnight stays, there are cozy forest cabins tucked among the trees, offering a relaxing, natural escape.

The only catch is that their website is in Japanese, so language can be a bit of a barrier. But the team, led by a friendly grandpa in his 70s, will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and help you enjoy the area to the fullest.
