Dispersed Car Camping Sites

Old NC-105 Dispersed Campsites are located on the western side of Linville Gorge. There are numerous dispersed sites and you can access the first couple miles with a normal car. As you get further on the road, you may want a 4x4 or all wheel drive with decent clearance as parts of the road get sketchier. This is a fabulous area to explore and has ton of off the beaten path hikes. Bears are common in Linville Gorge so please practice bear safety and don't hike alone or at night.

Some great places to check out if you're on this side of the Gorge are Wiseman's View and Yellow Fork Falls.
