The Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall is almost 17 meters high and originates from the Kirkjufellsá river, which itself flows from the Snaefellsjökull glacier.

Road 54 is very generally very correct also in winter which facilitates access to the site. Kirkjufell offers very different colors from season to season and fascinates photographers.

Photographers in summer prefer to go there in the evening because the place is ideal for being photographed with the low light of the midnight sun. The site also has a very beautiful sunrise light early in the morning.
