With a maximum height of 1300 meters above sea level and an area of approximately 925 km2, Langjökull is the second largest glacier in Iceland, ahead of Snaefellsjökull and behind Vatnajökull in the southeast of the country. This frozen cave was artificially constructed in 2015, and since then has become one of Iceland's most popular attractions. Even though it was created by man, Langjökull Ice Cave is still impressive. it is possible to visit it almost all year round, regardless of the weather.

The main paths that approach the glacier are the F335, F336 and F551. To get to the glacier, however, you will have to use special vehicles available from tour operators (snowmobiles, superjeeps, etc.)
