Masca is a beautiful, hidden village in the Teno mountains of Tenerife. It is believed by locals to be a former pirate hideaway, and promises stunning views of the iconic canyon that leads down to the Atlantic Ocean. Visitors are invited to explore the village and surroundings and have a nice walk on the cobblestone paths, visit the restaurants to taste local delicious food (must try - fried cheese (queso asado) and canarian potatoes with mojos, or go for a hike down the Masca ravine. With its picturesque atmosphere and unique history, Masca is a must-visit destination on any trip to Tenerife! For the fearless drivers out there, take the infamous winding road up to the village for an exciting journey before arriving at Masca.

TIPS

• Just make sure to get there early (lack of parking)

• Honk the horn on a tide bend

• Don’t leave anything valuable in the car!
