The Paisaje Protegido de la Rambla de Castro is an awe-inspiring protected space located in Los Realejos, Tenerife. Covering an area of 46 hectares, this stunning park takes visitors on an adventure through incredible landscapes and amazing history.

With beautiful flora that flourishes alongside the Atlantic coast, it's no wonder why Rambla de Castro is one of Tenerife's must-see destinations. Here you can explore a variety of points of interest including La Casona (Aula de la Naturaleza), the Fortin de San Fernando, Barranco de Godinez, the Gordejuela Water Elevator, and the Ermita de San Pedro Apostol.

For those seeking both a natural journey, as well as a tasty surprise, a visit to the guachinche Casa Pedro shouldn't be missed. Hiking shoes are recommended, as the coastal path offers some steep terrain for trekkers to enjoy and discover what wonders Rambla de Castro has to offer.

TIPS:

• Start from Mirador San Pedro. There are 2 ways going down - the right side green line on the map is longer and great to start the trail along the coast. The left side on the road is shorter, for the ones who want to visit only beach Playa Castro with waterfalls.

• Be sure to plan this trip for the whole afternoon to visit this trail, as it is a relatively long walk full of palm trees and views.

• Bring enough food and drinks, there is no possibility to buy it anywhere along the way or have a bite in the restaurant on viewpoint San Pedro.

• If you want to go only to the ruins of Gordeguela - the closest way is from the town of El Tostal.

• Guachinche El Pino is a very popular restaurant in El Tostal - I recommend if you want to taste typical Canarian cuisine.
