The Special Nature Reserve of Red Mountain in Tenerife, Spain is a sight to behold. Located right outside El Médano, it has a 171-meter cone volcano called Montaña Roja as its main attraction. There are several ways to get to the summit, with the most popular being the 45-minute walk from El Médano that takes visitors through different scenery. At the summit, one can enjoy a magnificent view of the surroundings. A climb is also possible for those who aren't afraid of a challenge, but it is important to take caution and wear proper clothing when attempting the ascent. This area is very windy.
