Since the Penguin Colony in Simon's Town became quite popular and overrun, this spot is another great one to see the African penguins in the wild. When we were there in February, a bit off season, we had the whole shoreline all to ourselves. You don't have to pay an entrance fee to enter the boardwalk through the colony and when we were there, we didn't see any rangers around either, so please when visiting, be mindful and respectful of nature and the wildlife!
