Glymur Waterfall is one of Iceland's best kept secrets and the second highest waterfall in the country. The hike may be a bit strenuous, but deemed worth it due to its picturesque views of the canyon and waterfall. It consists of a flat stretch near the beginning of the journey, followed by an uphill climb to reach the highest point on the trail with breathtaking views of the Botnsá River and the surrounding hills and valleys. To cap off the adventure, hikers must cross both rivers with either bare feet or a second pair of shoes for when they do! With the right preparation and determination, this experience can be both rewarding and unforgettable.
