Hvítserkur, also known as the Troll of Northwest Iceland, is an unique rock formation that stands tall from Húnaflói Bay. It takes its name from Icelandic folklore which tells of a troll who was determined to take down bells from a nearby convent and was petrified in sunlight. Photographers are often drawn to this place because of its interesting reflection of the sun, moon, and aurora borealis.
