The PAXMAL (peace mark) is based on the original idea of peace for everyone. It is not a place of worship, but a quiet, peaceful place for inner gathering, contemplation and meditation. A meditation on ourselves and our forms of society, for the purpose of purification and new insights into how we can give meaning to being as a useful member of the community. The Paxmal is situated at 1290 metres above sea level at the foot of the Churfirsten and offers an impressive view of Walenstadt, the Seez valley and the Flumserberge mountains opposite.

Since the parking spaces at Alp Schrina are limited I recommend you to park at the parking at the Reha clinic or in the village Walenstadtberg and take the 1h walk through the forest. It's really a beautiful place and transmits a sence of peace I haven't felt in another place before.
