This lake is part of the 5 Lakes Walk in Zermatt. it is in a class of its own among hikes in the Zermatt mountains. The views of the mountain lakes are superb (with the Matterhorn reflected in three of them), and the trail is full of variety and also nice for families

The path leads past the lakes of the Stellisee, Grindjisee, Grünsee, Moosjisee and Leisee. Each of these mountain lakes is very different in terms of shape, colour, character and size, and has its own special attraction. The shores of the Grindjisee are home to rare flowers and therefore do not pick them

The reflections at this lake are particularly beautiful and actually my favorites :) It also a perfect place for picnicing

The trail starts at Blauherd and you'll go first to Stellisee and then further on to Grindjisee. Of course you can also start and end at Sunnegga which means that it will be a bit longer and more elevation gain to do :)
