Rodelbahn Pfingstegg is a summer toboggan ride near Grindelwald, the only one in the Jungfrau Region. It's a thrilling ride through the alpine meadows with a breathtaking mountain panorama as your backdrop.

Start by riding a cable car up the mountain to 1346m, with fantastic views across the Grindelwald valley. At the top, you'll find the toboggan ride, a restaurant, small playground, and picnic area.

The toboggan track winds down the mountain, then a cable brings you and the sled back up to your starting point. Children aged 4-7 can ride, but together with an adult.

Near the toboggan, Pfingstegg as another amusement called "Fly Line," which is like a slow moving zip line that winds down through the forest then brings you back up the mountain.

How to get there

The toboggan ride is at the top of the Pfingstegg cable car, which is located at the southern end of Grindelwald, near Grabenstrasse 17. See on map.

There is metered parking next to the cable car. It's about a 15 min walk from the Grindelwald train station or take the bus to the Grindelwald, Pfingsteggbahn stop.

You'll need a cable car ticket to reach the toboggan ride. In 2024, a round trip ticket costs CHF 32/adult. Discounts with most Swiss travel passes and cards.
