Mürren Mountain View Trail is one of our favorite family-friendly hikes in the Jungfrau region. It's just enough effort that you feel that you are really hiking, but still suitable for casual hikers and children.
The views are spectacular, with the imposing Eiger and Jungfrau peaks always in view. The trail ends at Allmendhubel, a mountain viewpoint above the Mürren village, where you'll find a huge playground and restaurant. This is a fun reward for kids that need motivation to keep walking on the trail.
moderate • 2 hours • 5 km one way • 400m up, 40m down

Easier option: It's easier to walk it in reverse, since then it would be mostly downhill. But when hiking with kids, we prefer to end at the playground instead of start there.
This hike starts at the top of the Lauterbrunnen-Grütschalp cable car. It ends at Allmendhubel, where you can ride a funicular train down to Mürren or hike down.
From Mürren, you can ride the Mürren BLM mountain train back to Grütschalp, then the cable car back to Lauterbrunnen.
