The Golden Pass Paranomic is a scenic railway that winds through some of Switzerland's most beautiful landscapes. It begins in the picturesque town of Interlaken and passes through Gstaad, Chateau-d'Oex and Montbovon before arriving in Montreux. Enjoy views of snow-capped peaks, rolling hills, lush vineyards and alpine villages while travelling in first-class or the new 'Prestige' class on the Golden Pass Express- where passengers are treated to reclinable, revolving seats, a glass champagne and a delicious cheese platter on board!
With adjustable bogies, the journey can now be made without having to switch trains along the way, making for a seamless experience. The entire trip takes just 3 hours and 15 minutes, so don't forget your camera to capture all the gorgeous scenery!
Optional: If you prefer to do a shorter scenic train starting from Montreux, you can also opt to take the vintage and super romantic Belle Epoque train that runs in the return-direction of Montreux-Zwesimmen (as pictured). There is no need to take the train all the way to Zwesimmen, instead you can stop in between and then do a return journey back to Montreux.
For Half-Fare card holders: You will need to purchase a ticket and your seat reservation (optional)/class upgrade) on the website.
For Swiss Travel Pass Holders: Your Swiss Travel Pass already covers the cost of the base ticket. Instead, you only need to top up for the seat reservation (optional), and the class upgrade (e.g. to 1st class or Prestige class).
Seat reservation is recommended to guarantee a spot as the train can be full during peak seasons.

2nd class from Montreux to Interlaken (vice versa): CHF 59.00 Full Fare, 27.80CHF Half-fare
