Located on the most westerly point of the Isle of Skye, Neist Point lighthouse is a popular destination for sightseers and photographers alike. Built in 1900 to guide ships off the stormy west coast, the lighthouse can still be seen up to 16 nautical miles offshore. A walk down from the car park offers stunning views of the high cliffs and mesmerizing sunsets. Trekkers can take the same path both ways covering 2.2km before admiring the keeper's cottages and exploring the rocky shoreline. Once there, visitors can marvel at diverse wildlife including whales and basking sharks. With an additional 50 things to do across the Island, Skye promises all who venture its shores with unforgettable memories.
